Our discussion of Jean Anouilh's "Becket," scheduled for October 21, has been *POSTPONED* to next spring; @ our September meeting we will select a substitute for October. On Tuesday, November 19, we discuss "The House of Blue Leaves," by John Guare, which we attend (in a radio dramatization) Thursday, November 21. Please bring theater brochures. If you want to propose a play, first read it & call local bookstores to check its availability. Also plan to make a commitment to introduce the playwright & lead our discussion or to arrange for someone else to do it. SURVEY RESULTSThanks to Melissa Sites, we have results from our June membership survey. *87% approve our current informal structure. *46% want to fund the group solely from contributions; the rest support supplementary measures. *52% favor varying our meeting location; 24% say always meet in the same place; 24% don't care. *40% want to meet where they can order food, 33% don't care, the rest would like meeting sometimes where we can't order food. *Two-thirds favor continuing rotating meeting Mondays through Thursdays. *86% oppose limiting attendance.
